POSTINO – JULY 28th

Sunday, July 28th | 21:30 PM
Corigliano D’Otranto | Castello Volante
Ticket 21.50 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.it

POSTINO: it’s all those words that normally bounce around the room between the walls. This is how Samuele Torrigiani defines himself, the Tuscan singer-songwriter who, after graduating from medical school, decided to come out of the closet with his “Blue” heart on March 17, 2018, becoming more viral than his own melancholy, and reaching more than 1.3 million views on YouTube and nearly 10 million on Spotify. On July 6, 2018, “Latte Di Soia“, his debut album, was released, totaling nearly 22 million streams on Spotify alone. In autumn 2018, he starts his first real tour, organized by Vertigo, which touches the main Italian cities, then continues in summer 2019 in the most important festivals, supported by new singles “Sbagliamo Insieme” (April 2019) and “Al Condizionale” (May 2019). On September 27, 2019, “Mi Fai venire” is released. In November of the same year, Postino announced that he would stop his musical activity, and therefore live shows to devote himself to specializing in psychiatry. On Nov. 9, 2023, four years after his retirement from the stage, having completed his specialization, he announces the release of his second studio album “L’Ordine Delle Cosa Da Dire“, self-produced by Postino and distributed from December 1, 2023 by ADA Music. In February 2024 starts a tour of 6 special dates in the main Italian Clubs (Santeria, Hiroshima, Viper, Largo Venue,…) that are sold out. He currently works as psychiatrist in prison and these months he is dividing his life between a white coat and a microphone “trying again to reconcile these two roads that seem, in reality, parallel lines.”

COCA PUMA – JULY 31st

Wednesday, July 31st | 9:30 PM
Corigliano D’Otranto – Castello Volante
Ticket 12 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.it

Born in 1998 in Rome, cap always lowered over her eyes, metropolitan attitude and resonant soul of Nature: Coca Puma is the moniker of Costanza Puma, an eclectic nu-jazz-trained artist who eludes any definition. Ethereal and magnetic she uses voice and textures from her productions to build her own world. A deep-rooted passion for Brazilian music and a more recent discovery of electronic music blend together in her DJ performances and in the interest toward the relationship between sound and image.
Written and produced by Coca Puma, anticipated by the singles “Porta Pia” and “Tardi”, in Panorama Olivia a well-defined, authentic, and innovative musical vision clearly emerges, ranging from writing to production, from the mix and to the sound design.
In the songs, electronic elements alternate with acoustic elements, relaxed and minimal momentsalternate with explosive sections culminating in climaxes, rhythms marked by beats and experiental growths link to the emotional mood that music and lyrics suggest. So voice over (Intro, – Intro Notte ) introduce deep synthesizers (Porta Pia) and straight bass drum (Notte). Distorted drums and drum&bass turns (Non ci penso) open the dances to a more driven and darker electronics (Tappeto). Watery synths (Lupo Volkswagen, Interludio Isola) re-emerge from a drum machine toward a crescendo ending (Come Vuoi), a flow of sonorities that in their complexity find a perfect balance.
The soft voice, sometimes whispered but full of expressive power, cautiously intervenes, leaving space for the instrumental sections that sometimes become the protagonists of the storytelling (Tardi, Non Ci Penso, Notte, Come Vuoi).
Panorama Olivia feeds on several influences, from London-based British duo Jockstrap to psychedelic rock band Crumb, from Welsh electronic producer Kelly Lee Owens to British singer-songwriter Eliza. Lyrics are intimate and introspective: “It’s hard to define the beginning or development of my writing, it all happens by itself, in moments where I don’t feel control over what I’m doing. It is as if I become an antenna”, says Coke Puma. An unstoppable creative drive finds meaning in the fears and wishes recounted in Porta Pia, in the memories of a touched happiness that resurface in Lupo Volkswagen, on a journey into the unconscious between dream and reality in Notte and the Interludio Isola, in the desire for change in Tardi or in the emotional pitfalls of Come vuoi, the song that closes the album.
Panorama Olivia projects the listener on a free and cathartic journey into the ether, to the most brightest and purest point in space from which to be enveloped and overwhelmed.

WHERE IS LIANA – JULY 31st

Wednesday, July 31st | 9:30 PM
Corigliano D’Otranto – Castello Volante
TICKET 12 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.it

If our world is becoming artificial, aseptic and less warm, the French group Dov’è Liana believes that the true essence of life lies in the relentless pursuit of beauty, truth and love. Music must once again become a powerful medium for capturing those magical moments in our lives that transcend cultural boundaries. The unique approach of Dov’è Liana is based on a bold exploration of the emotional connection between music and everyday life. Inspired by their experiences in Palermo, they infuse their songs with a “wild and sensual” energy that transcends musical genres. Beginning to write lyrics in Italian, they deliberately chose the language of love and art, creating a captivating sonic experience. Their music is bewitching, blending house rhythms with lyrics that evoke the lively nights of the Taverna Azzurra and the vibrant streets of Palermo’s Vucciria. Their songs, such as“Perché piangi Palermo” and“Ecco la Notte“, are musical testimonies to their deep love for the atmosphere of this very special city. With nearly 80,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 30 sold-out dates in Europe, they have managed to convey their love for the atmosphere of this special city. They have been able to convey the vibrant soul of southern Italy remaining true to their unceasing pursuit of pure and magical moments. A pursuit just begun… It’s during an evening in Palermo that group’s members meet Liana. Lost from sight as quickly as she appeared, Liana was a love at first sight, as strong as it was fleeting. She quickly became a symbol of the three boys’ search for those magical moments in life. They extend this search for boundless emotion with their debut album, A Spiritual Thing Happened To The World. Rejecting the brevity imposed by the standardized music industry, with this album Dov’è Liana take the risk of creating a powerful emotional connection with their audience. They explore a bold artistic object, not unlike the tradition of Rocks’ iconic albums designed to be listened to over and over again. Articulated in two parts, the album combines the festive effervescence with profound messages of hope and love. The first part, intensely festive, blends Rock and Dance Music and is based on the group’s previous hits. The second, based on House Music, explores softer themes, surprising in both content and form. Scheduled for release in September 2024, the first part of A Spiritual Thing Happened To The World will be preceded by a series of surprises, strengthening the bond with fans and gradually revealing the contours of this new musical journey. An invitation to immerse oneself in an experience in which the pursuit of the ephemeral becomes eternal.

NINFA GIANNUZZI AND VALERIO DANIELE – AUGUST 8th

Thursday, August 8th | 21:30
Corigliano D’Otranto | Castello Volante
Tickets available at the box office

All the songs proposed will be in Grico, most of them composed by Valerio Daniele and Ninfa Giannuzzi. In fact, at the heart of the project is the writing of new music and lyrics and the search for a personal style where themes, words and poetry are placed in the current historical context. An ancient and sanguine remnant, the backbone of past communities, in the duo’s work Grico changes function and is sublimated into an expressive register. It is transposed in often paradoxical, imaginative terms and played as a kaleidoscopic carousel of sounds and images. On the musical side, the duo brings to life entirely new material, keeping under their skins the link with tradition but seeking a sound deliberately suspended between acoustic, electric and electronic, treating lyrics and melodies freely and untethered from belonging to specific musical languages. The arrangements thus range in different sound areas, touching on genres but with the clear intention of not adhering to any of them. Along with Ninfa Giannuzzi (singing, ukulele, synth) and Valerio Daniele (baritone guitar and electronics), two exceptional musicians embellish the sound of the project:Giorgio Distante on trumpet and tuba and Fabio Moschettini on classical guitar and ukulele.

MASSIMO SILVERIO – AUGUST 11th

Sunday, August 11th | 21:30
Lecce | Rudiae Archaeological Park
Ticket 12 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.it

Massimo Silverio, 1992 class, is an author and musician born and raised in Cercivento (Udine) in the heart of the historical-geographical region of Carnia. He writes and sings in his native language, Cjarniel, a minority language of the Carnic Alps. Between the charm of the borderland and the tradition of an ancient idiom, Silverio forms his very personal language of poetry and sounds that mingle between classical and contemporary, popular and cultured, acoustic, electroacoustic and electronic.

<<I have always had a strong attraction to the sound and meaning of thewords that I heard coming from the mouths of my grandparents and parents. Timbres, melodies and shades of meaning that I no longer found in those of my peers. So for my music I used the language of my heart, the metrics and flavor of Friulian villotta combined with a raw sound, evocative and full of contrasts.>>

A research begun at a very young age that led him to the creation of an imaginary made of ancient places, faces and rituals translated into music through the use of classical instruments such as cello, double bass, prepared percussion, piano or popular instruments such as guzla – an instrument from the Dinaric alps – but also synthesizers, guitars, organs and above all the voice that takes the lead with light and intimate timbres, mixing Carnic and English to tell a minority yet universal story. After 2 self-produced EPs she arrives in 2023 to the release of her first album entitled HRUDJA,” the result of a meeting with producer Manuel Volpe(Rhabdomantic Orchestra) and the contribution of Piedmontese musician and performer Nicholas Remondino(Lamie, Stefano Battaglia, Vieri Cervelli Montel). Together they have created a work of contrasts, sound-filled silences that fall outside the boundaries of a musical genre. Hrudja” is the Lombard ancestor of the word “Grusa,” which in Friulian means the scab that is created when a wound heals, a metaphor for rebirth and healing but also a coat of arms, a reminder of something that is disappearing.

BAR ITALIA – AUGUST 12th

Monday, August 12th | 9:30 PM
Corigliano D’Otranto | Castello Volante
Ticket 28.75 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.com.

The story of the band’s international success, named after a Soho club, is that of a life that changes suddenly, by accident. It is called Bar Italia, as the sizzling neon green sign at the entrance reads. It is open 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. to 4 a.m., and is one of London’s iconic nightlife spots. For some time now, Bar Italia has also been the name of a trio consisting of Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, Sam Fenton and Nina Cristante. In 2023 they released The Twits, their second record after Tracey Denim. Two records different from each other, but united by a certain aura of mystery in the songs, capable of swaying from post-punk scratches to dreamier melodies. A kind of controlled chaos, obliquely paced, in a manner similar to Dry Cleaning’s alienations, with some sinister element moving in the background without us being able to grasp it.

BEACH FOSSILS – AUGUST 12th

Monday, August 12th | 9:30 PM
Corigliano D’Otranto | Castello Volante
Ticket 28.75 euros
Presales available at Dice.fm and Ticketmaster.it

Bunny represents an extraordinary evolution of the Beach Fossils‘ sound over the years. The record draws elements from the jarring melancholy of What a Pleasure, the lush arrangements of ‘Somersault’, and the gritty, post-punk-inspired tracks of Clash the Truth. It contains the most vulnerable lyrics ever written by Dustin Payseur, who has chosen to be honest and offer a deep look into his emotional world. From touching words about a family member’s battle with cancer, to the joy of being a father, to the simple pleasure of smoking a cigarette out a car window with friends, this is the band’s most vivid and personal work to date. The Beach Fossils have been featured at major festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Primavera and Posty Fest, and have sold out headlining dates at Brooklyn Steel, The Wiltern and Thalia Hall. Their album The Other Side of Life: Piano Ballads reached No. 3 on the Billboard Traditional Jazz Albums chart. Recently, the band reached two million monthly listeners on Spotify and seven million total monthly listeners across all platforms. Bunny was released in June 2023 on Bayonet Records, an expanding indie label co-founded by Payseur in 2014.
