On stage on Friday, July 24th, Is Tropical, a London-based band active since 2009 that investigates the sounds of contemporary electronic music; Populous, aka Andrea Mangia, a musician and producer born and raised in Salento; INude, an indie electronic duo composed by Flavio Paglialunga (vocals, percussion and synth) and Giacomo Greco (guitar, vocals, programming and synth); and phNegativo, a trio from Brindisi that won the Apulian selections of Arezzo Wave. After party by Insintesi andNo Figers Nails. The main guest for the evening of Saturday, July 25th, instead, will be Russell Leetch, bassist for Editors, the iconic band of the British sound of the last 15 years, with a DJ set all to discover. Also on stage are Giuda, a Roman band also known and appreciated in the United States; Bistouries with a blend of British punk ’77, American power pop, mod revival and jangle guitar pop; Moustache Prawn and Noon.
On Sunday, July 26th, the last night with La Rivolta Night featuring IFad, The Clippers, Departure Ave, several groups produced by the Salento-based label Rivolta Records(I Misteri del Sonno, Nu-Shu, Playontape, Teenage Riot) and Fast Animals and Slow Kids, a band from Perugia that has conquered over Italian audiences with an intense live activity.
During the day, the festival also organized numerous sports activities, showcases and book presentations at Lido York. From free Paddle Surfing and Wave Surfing trials by “Tre oceani paddle surf center” and “Suburban Surf Club”, to book presentations and set up of a small library by Culturista Bibliolab and showcases of Apulian bands in collaboration with Puglia Sounds and Officine della Musica. On Friday, July 24th, the festival was also opened by the preview presentation of the research “The sound I would like. A study on music consumption in Salento” with a showcase by the band La Gente. On Saturday, July 25th, Stefano Delacroix presented “Calm Beach” (The Emil Books) while Sofia Brunetta performed some songs from her debut album“Former.” Finally, on Sunday, July 26th, space for ” I bassisti muoiono giovani” by Francesco de Giorgi (Musicaos) and DonPasta‘s cookin DJ set.
The 2015 edition also hosted two special musical projects: on Wednesday, August 5th, in Melpignano, as a preview of the So What Festival, on stage the Roman singer-songwriter Mannarino. On Saturday, August 15th, in Torre Regina Giovanna, in collaboration with Cube Comunicazione, Urem, TTevents and Molly Arts, performed, instead, the Subsonica and Congorock with a DJ set.

Since its beginning in 2006, the SEI has declared its vocation to choose heterogeneous groups and projects, to transform itself every time expanding the horizon of its proposals to offer to its audience a broad and varied overview of the music looking for different genres, from punk to singer-songwriter, from rock to ska, from folk to the upbeat rhythms. In the different locations of Salento that have hosted the festival, took turns artists like Kings of Convenience, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Cat Power, Baustelle, Gogol Bordello, Bugo, Skatalites, Daniele Silvestri, Verdena, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Vallanzaska, Teatro degli Orrori, One Dimensional Man, Russell Leetch, Is Tropical, Populous, Giuda, Fast Animals and Slow Kids, Mannarino, Avion Travel, Negrita, Calibro 35, Brunori Sas, Amor Fou, Lombroso, Dellera and many other Italian and Apulian realities such as Crifiu, Mascarimirì, Mery Fiore, Sofia Brunetta, La Gente, Una.
