2012 EDITION

[:en]On Thursday, August 16th, 2012 , it was Torcito Park in Cannole (Le) that hosted the sixth edition of the Sud Est Indipendente. The festival returns this year to its origins and, after two itinerant editions, offers a single date dedicated to folk and its contaminations.

The main guest was Roman singer-songwriter Mannarino , who presented songs from his albums “Bar della Rabbia” and “Supersantos” (Leave srl/Universal).

Before Mannarino on stage the Salento-based Crifiu with songs from Cuori e Confini, a record work produced by Dilinò, distributed by Goodfellas and promoted with the support of Puglia Sounds – P.O. FESR Puglia 2007-2013 Axis IV.

Opening spacewill be given to Mino De Santis and his “Caminante”, the first production of Ululati, the Lupo Editore series created to disseminate and promote music. Second album for the singer-songwriter protagonist of one of the most interesting debuts in recent years (“Scarcagnizzu”, Fondo Verri), in the wake of Fabrizio De André’s committed ballads and with a lacerating irony worthy of the best Rino Gaetano.[:en]#SEIfestival 2012 – August 16th @ Parco Torcito of Cannole (Lecce) with Mannarino, Crifiu band and Mino De Santis

Since its beginning in 2006, the SEI has declared its vocation to choose heterogeneous groups and projects, to transform itself every time expanding the horizon of its proposals to offer to its audience a broad and varied overview of the music looking for different genres, from punk to singer-songwriter, from rock to ska, from folk to the upbeat rhythms. In the different locations of Salento that have hosted the festival, took turns artists like Kings of Convenience, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Cat Power, Baustelle, Gogol Bordello, Bugo, Skatalites, Daniele Silvestri, Verdena, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Vallanzaska, Teatro degli Orrori, One Dimensional Man, Russell Leetch, Is Tropical, Populous, Giuda, Fast Animals and Slow Kids, Mannarino, Avion Travel, Negrita, Calibro 35, Brunori Sas, Amor Fou, Lombroso, Dellera and many other Italian and Apulian realities such as Crifiu, Mascarimirì, Mery Fiore, Sofia Brunetta, La Gente, Una.
